Cutlets in Brown Sugar Sauce


100 g AGRAGOLD Demerara brown sugar
120 ml apple juice
60 ml vegetable oil
15 ml soy sauce
1 g ground ginger
Pinch of salt and pepper
5 g starch powder
120 ml water

6 pcs pork cutlets

Preparation method: Preheat the oven on broiler setting.

Combine brown sugar, apple juice, oil, soy sauce, ginger and salt and pepper in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Mix together water and starch in a separate dish and add to the sauce. Stir until the sauce is thick enough.

Butter the grill rack before you place the cutlets on it. Broil for approximately 10-12 minutes, each side for 5-6 minutes. Brush the cutlets with sauce just before removing them from the grill rack. Serve the cutlets with remaining sauce.
